Inspired by the ever-present elemental guardian that is the Manaia.
As we look to the night skies we see tohu on the heavenly body of Ranginui. Bright whetūrere in flight, bridging the realm between the Skyfather and Papatūānuku, Earth Mother. Their fleeting journey a momentary and precious reminder that our Kaitiaki, guardians are watching over us.

The Manaia is traditionally believed to be the messenger between the earthly world of mortals and the domain of the spirits, and its symbol is used as a guardian against evil. In this form, it is usually represented in a figure-of-eight shape, the upper half culminating in a bird-like beak.
